After a season filled with so many ups and downs, I needed the last month to recover, reflect and speculate about the future. The recovery part was the least stressful and easiest to do. Lots of rest and spending time with my family has been a blast heading into the Christmas season.

The season that was is hard to sum up. It is hard to pinpoint one problem that could have changed the outcome for the better. It was such a tumultuous season, with so many highs and lows that the word frustrating might best describe the feeling I still have. Fortunately I was named to CFL All-Star team for a fifth time, but as any team sport athlete will tell you, it's not about the personal prizes as it is about the team ones. I, along with a lot of my team mates, still feel incomplete about a season of what 'could have been'.

Heading into Christmas, it is going to be a hectic and exciting time. Being surrounded by family and friends will be special for me, being as my family is back in Saskatchewan. We don't get to see them much, so we will relish our time with them.

Looking forward through the New Year and into the 2008 football season brings a feeling of hope, and a desire for redemption. The 2008 Montreal Alouettes, even without knowing the head coach yet, will be another good football team. We have lots of talent returning and will no doubt play fast, hard hitting and exciting football. The new coach will have a great opportunity to bring us together and lead us to a home town berth in the Grey Cup.

I wish everyone out there a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
