THEY say the season doesn't start until after Labour Day, well THEY have never played football. After 10 weeks, 10 hard fought football games, we sit at a very respectable 8-2. It will all be for not if we don't take care of business down the stretch.
With Winnipeg coming into town this week, this is a huge 4 point divisional game. This is going to be an interesting game because it seems as though Winnipeg has played some of their best football on the road. It wasn't that long ago that they ran for nearly 400 yards against BC in BC, so we have to respect them despite their record. They are a good and aggressive team that can control a game, thus we must be prepared for a physical 60 minutes of football.
I would like to mention two things at this time as well:
1. The 2009 Walk for ALS is to be held on Saturday Sept.19th at 10:30 AM at Parc Maisonneuve . My self along with several of my team -mates will be walking with Team Proudfoot in support of our friend, Tony Proudfoot. Please check out the website and come out in support of a great cause. www.sla-quebec.ca
2. The Light the Night Walk hosted by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada will take place on Saturday October 3rd, 2009 at 5:30 PM. My wife and several of my teammates wives (as the players will be in Toronto beating the Argos!) will be on hand to walk in support of Alexia Calvillo. Please go to the website and donate Team Alexia.
