It is never easy to find a balance, whether it is life, work, or sports. To get 42 men working collectively for a common goal may theoretically be easy, but practically quite difficult. Commitment, dedication, and giving of oneself are just a few of the ingredients to winning in sports.

Why we have lost the last two football games I do not know. I do know this though; football games are usually decided by a hand full of plays. Even though they might seem inconspicuous at the time, they could be catastrophic.

A missed assignment, using the wrong blocking technique, or choosing to punt instead of giving up a safety are just a few examples of the decisions to be made during the course of a game. Maybe by an offensive lineman putting his head on the other side of the defender would have given the running back a cleaner read, thus making his cut easier. Maybe on that particular play, the safety was in coverage and the linebacker was really the last line of defence, the running back would have then scored and completely changed the course of the game.

Hindsight is always 20/20, and that is why every play is so crucial. Attention to detail is imperative because that fullback dive in the 3rd quarter could have changed the tide of the whole game.
