Season Preview

What a year 2008 was, and the fans are definitely in for a wild ride in 2009. This season will have its ebbs and flows, but hopefully there will be more highs than lows.

Offensively, our starting lineup from the Grey Cup is in tact. This is now the second year in Head Coach Marc Trestman´s offence, so we should all be more comfortable with our roles. We will be a fast, dynamic and exciting offence that will have incredibly high standards. We always try to win everything we do, in doing so we will learn from the past, and try to be our best today.

Defensively we will be a much more aggressive group. Alot of players from last years defense are now gone, which means new players will be given the opportunity to succeed. Whenever new players are playing together, it takes time to build that trust and repore on the field, the quicker this happens, the better off we are.

Special teams will once again, as always, be a focus. This aspect of the game is so exciting and unpredictable, and has the ablility to completely change a game in one play. A return, a blocked kick, a fake are all huge momentum swings for teams that can infuse confidence where it might have been lacking before. Game changers, that is the essence of special teams.

Hope to see you all out this year.

All the best.
