JOURNAL

Welcome to the 1st journal entry of my personal website. Where do I begin? How about with the off season.

The off season was very busy to say the least. Upon our unfortunate loss in Winnipeg to the B.C. Lions in the Grey Cup, I treid to prepare for my first ever winter outside of Saskatchewan. Dispite not having snow until December, the month was kicked off with our inaguaral "Bad Sweater" Christmas party. A good taht will be repeated in 2007.

After ringing in the new year in Montreal, Januray was mostly out of town. A week in Jamaica for my sister-in-laws wedding, was followed by 10 days in my home town of Regina, Saskatchewan. A chance to visit family and friends and also to emcee the wedding reception. I not afraid to tell you I was a killer host!

February and March were busy months filled with trainning, basketball and hockey. The trainning regiem consisted of both weights and running agility work. Football is a year-round job, we just play our games over the course of six months.

The basketball was part of a program called "School is cool" ran by the Alouettes. I was fortunate enough to visit approximetly fifteen schools. I got the chance to talk with the kids, give a good message and then beat their teachers in a game of basketball. The Alouettes basketball team is undeafeated in four years!

I was also part of the Alouettes hockey tour, as well as recerational league. Both were a blast and kept me in shape for the upcoming season.

Check back soon for my thoughts on the impending 3 weeks of HELL called "training camp"!
