Now that the holidays are officially over, it is time to start counting down to the season. 2007 is FINALLY in the books. Over. Fini. Good riddance!
Over the holidays I had a chance to go back to Regina, Saskatchewan to see family and friends. One thing I have learned, no matter how much time you have, it is never enough. There were a few people I had planned on getting together with, but the holidays are tough to schedule free time.
Christmas was great. We had surprisingly nice weather in Regina, which makes the season easier to deal with. My kids got so many presents; we needed to buy a roof top carrier to bring them all back. My kids got to meet their new cousins for the first time, and had lots of fun playing with all their aunts and uncles.
I also want to take this time to make mention of the two hockey games I got to play with my old recreational hockey team, the Great Western (GW) One Timers www.greatwesternbrewing.com. It was a blast and I even got a few points. If you don't believe me, check it out for yourself. Great Western One Timer Stats. I really want to say thanks for the guys for letting me play (Johann, Heno, Byron, Barry, Wally, Bakerman, etc.), even though I had to lug my stinky hockey equipment half way across the country. I think my kids were having allergic reactions to the smell, along the way they were sneezing a lot. They will both be hockey nuts someday and have their own hockey stink to deal with.
With "School is Cool" basketball tour starting soon, as well as the Alouettes hockey tour, I will be updating you all soon.
I would like to wish you all the best of luck to you and a happy New Year.
